YAKIMA - Wade Adams, 75, passed away from a short battle (we thank the lord it was short) with lung cancer on June 25, 2010. Born December 10, 1934 in Baker, Oregon. He moved to Yakima in 1940 with his mom, dad and 2 sisters. Wade graduated from Yakima High in 1955 and joined the US Marines. He was very proud that he served his country as a Marine. After being discharged from active duty he remained in the reserves. He worked at Rogers Super Tread and Brimmer Tire shops. He had many interests, from being on the pit crew of auto racing to racing his cycle on flat track. At night he would moonlight as a projectionist at one of the theaters and then quit the tire recapping to work for Mercy Enterprises full time and was there until his death.

Keith Wade Lester Sr., 49, of Dinwiddie County, passed away Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010.
Keith was a member and deacon at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, and an employee of Mundet Inc. for nearly 30 years. He was an avid sports fan and was active in basketball, softball and golf. He officiated at many basketball and softball games for church and youth leagues around the area. He was also a devoted fan of the UNC Tar Heels basketball program. Keith was very fond of his horse, Cisco, and his dog, Ranger, but above all, loved his wife and his children very much.
