A one-hour discussion titled "The Immigration Debate: A Yakima Valley Town Hall" will be broadcast at 7 tonight on KYVE and KCTS public television stations.
The program was taped Tuesday evening in Yakima at The Seasons performing arts center, with panelists from a variety of organizations, including the Minutemen, the Washington Farm Bureau and the Mexican consulate in Seattle.

The first time I saw high-definition television, probably 10 years ago, it was at the Seattle PBS station, KCTS/Channel 9.
Back when most people thought a plasma TV was something you'd find on the deck of the Starship Enterprise, KCTS had one set up in a studio with "Smart Travels with Rudy Maxa" playing. Watching Maxa wandering through the architecture and eateries of Italy, I was convinced: High definition was every bit as good as the hype.

SEATTLE -- Aspiring filmmakers with a story to tell are invited to submit their work for a new regional film series to be aired on Seattle's public television station KCTS and on Yakima's KYVE.
The stations are looking for productions ranging from thought- provoking documentaries to light-hearted stories to historical pieces that relate to Washington or British Columbia.
