The Oklahoma Breast and Cervical Cancer Treatment Program went into effect Jan. 1, providing eligible women full Medicaid benefits for the duration of their cancer treatment.
To date, three entities in Oklahoma are administering Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program grants, the Oklahoma State Department of Health Chronic Disease Service, Kaw Nation of Oklahoma and Cherokee Nation. To be eligible for benefits, women must be screened under the Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program, which was established under Title XV of the Public Health Service Act.

The Internal Revenue Service has approved the plans of four Oklahoma tribes to issue $22.5 million apiece in tax-exempt bonds for economic development and infrastructure projects.
The projects proposed for the bond issues include projects for the Kaw Nation, the Ponca Tribe of Oklahoma, the Delaware Tribe of Indians and the Fort Sill Apache Tribe.
