LUIS J. TRUJILLO "GRANDPA LOUIE" "LUPIE" Passed away on March 11, 2006, after a six month battle with cancer. On September 6, 1923 he was born to Appolonio and Adelina Trujillo in Mora NM. He was raised in the mountain village of Monte Aplanado. In 1945 he married Jesusita Arguello and they traveled throughout the southwest and west coast following the fruit crops, together they picked cherries, strawberries, grapes, apples, oranges, grapefruits, olives, cotton and potatoes. In 1963 the nomad life came to an end and they settled in Santa Fe, where Grandpa Louie began to work at Big Jo Lumber Company. He retired in 1971 and spent the remainder of his years enjoying life with his children and grandchildren. Grandpa Louie was a simple man who took pride in...
