PORTSMOUTH - Kathleen Wiggins Culpepper, 78, went to be with her Lord April 24, 2009. Kathleen or "Kitty," as her friends and family called her, was born in Ela, N.C., and raised and spent her beautiful life in Portsmouth. She was the oldest daughter of the late Lucy Fowler and Andrew Jess Wiggins. She was a graduate of Wilson High School, Class of 1946.
Kathleen was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Garland R. Culpepper, former owner of Culpepper Radiator Service Inc., Portsmouth, and a grandson, Clifford T. Culpepper.

Kathleen Ann Olden, 62, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, from complications related from surgery.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, at Nilson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

A Baltimore judge has allowed a fired Lord & Whip P.A. partner's lawsuit against the firm to continue but has narrowed its scope.
John J. Boyd sued Lord & Whip in February after, he alleges, Managing Principal Kathleen M. Bustraan fired him and his paralegal, changed the locks on his office door, locked him out of the firm's computer system and reassigned his clients. Boyd petitioned the court for involuntary dissolution of Lord & Whip, one of Baltimore's oldest law firms.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 15, at First United Methodist Church, Savanna, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 14. Burial will be in Spring Lake Cemetery, Savanna. Friends also may call after 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. The Law- Jones Funeral Home, Savanna, is in charge of arrangements.
