The Reign will wear their familiar white uniforms when the regular season begins tonight with a visit from the Bakersfield Condors. Otherwise, it will be hard to recognize the team as it embarks on its fourth season of existence.
From the accelerated pace of training camp to the next captain, who'll be named prior to the game, Jason Christie and Mark Hardy wasted no time laying down a new blueprint. Certainly a new one was needed after the team missed the playoffs two years in a row under Karl Taylor.

More than four decades have passed since Staff Sgt. Karl Taylor died charging an enemy machine gun bunker in Vietnam, an act that saved at least two dozen fellow Marines. His comrades and family can't and won't forget.
I would not be alive today if it were not for Karl," said Larry Gore, 60, of Hamlin, N.Y., who served with Taylor in India Company, 3rd Battalion, 26th Marines. "I really owe every second chance I ever had to that man.

JW: His diet book is the funniest diet book ever. The [Karl Lagerfeld] diet; it's so great - I talk about it in my new book. I met Karl Lagerfeld at an event, and he's really funny and smart. I wasn't sure I would like him before I met him, you know what I mean? But the best thing he told me - my favorite failed art film ever is a movie called Boom!, with Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, and the costumes are credited to Tiziani of Rome - Karl Lagerfeld told me he was Tiziani's assistant on that movie. So I'm all for Karl Lagerfeld; he'd be the perfect Santa.
It's a tough time. I'm also in the third act of thinking up a whole new one, too. I don't know why, because they all like the screenplay. It wasn't that they didn't like the script; it was just, these days, a film has to cost un...
