The Bear's Den in the Seneca Niagara Casino has announced two new shows for May. Folk legend Judy Collins will perform at 8 p.m. May 21, followed by a concert by the Wailers at 8 p.m. May 27.

READFIELD -- Music legend Judy Collins, who has captivated audiences worldwide with her blend of interpretative folk songs and contemporary themes, will appear in May at Kents Hill.
At age 71, Collins, whose career has spanned more than 50 years, is still writing, performing and nurturing fresh talent. She plays 80 to 100 dates a year around the country.

PORTLAND - Veteran culture icon Judy Collins will bring her blend of interpretive folk songs and contemporary themes to Merrill Auditorium Sunday, Sept. 16. Also performing will be Grammy Award- winning songstress Nanci Griffith.
One of the major interpretive singers of the 1960s, Collins has recorded songs by such celebrated songwriters as Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen, Randy Newman, Joan Baez and Pete Seeger. Yet over the course of her illustrious 47-year career, she has recorded only one song, "In My Life," by the legendary songwriting team of John Lennon and Paul McCartney.

SOUTH PORTLAND - Venerable folk singer/songwriter Judy Collins, who music career spans more than 40 years, will be at Borders at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20. She will also play The Stone Mountain Arts Center in Brownfield on Saturday, Dec. 6 and The Strand Theatre in Rockland on Sunday, Dec. 7.
Her latest CD, "Born To Breed: A Tribute to Judy Collins," was released in mid-October on her label, Wildflower Records. With featured guests Chrissy Hynde, Dolly Parton, Leonard Cohen and others, the CD is a showcase of songs that have touched the lives of many generations with their grace and beauty.
