468 documents for Josh Scobee
  • JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - On one night, on one big stage, the Jacksonville Jaguars did everything better than the Baltimore Ravens. Maurice Jones-Drew ran for 105 yards against the NFL's best run defense, Josh Scobee kicked four field goals and the Jaguars snapped a five-game slide with a 12-7 victory over the Ravens on Monday night.

  • JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Josh Scobee watched the kick clear the crossbar, then ripped off his helmet and started running the other way. He cut left, then right, dodging teammates all over the field.

  • JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Josh Scobee always expected to sign a long- term contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He felt that way last season, last month and even last week.

  • FIRST QUARTER JACKSONVILLE: Dennis Northcutt, 30-yard pass from David Garrard (Josh Scobee kick), 8 minutes 3 seconds left. How they scored: The Jaguars picked up four first downs to reach the GB 27. On third and 19, Northcutt ran a stop-and-go route against Will Blackmon from the left slot, and when safety Nick Collins didn't provide expected help, was open inside the 10 for the TD. The drive: 12 plays, 73 yards, 6:57 time of possession. Jaguars 7, Packers 0.

  • JACKSONVILLE, Fla. A dismal offensive performance, including another poor outing by quarterback Eli Manning, sentenced the Giants to a second straight loss Monday night. The Jaguars, getting a good showing from quarterback David Garrard, posted a 26-10 win that dropped the Giants into a tie with Dallas for the lead in the NFC East. Josh Scobee booted four field goals for Jacksonville (6-4).

  • PITTSBURGH (AP) - Never in the Pittsburgh Steelers'75 seasons had a team beaten them twice in Pittsburgh in the same season. The Jacksonville Jaguars beat history- and the Steelers - despite a memorable fourth-quarter collapse that nearly cost the visitors their season. Josh Scobee saved the game by kicking a 25-yard field goal with 37 seconds remaining and the Jaguars came back after squandering an 18-point lead in the fourth quarter to beat the Steelers, 31-29, on Saturday night in an AFC wild-card game Saturday night that was wild in every sense of the word.

  • Star of the game Not only did RB Maurice Jones-Drew turn in his third 100-yard rushing performance in the last four games, he also made the play of the game from a mental standpoint. He went down on purpose at the 1- yard-line on the second play after the two-minute warning to set up the eventual game-winning 21-yard field goal by Josh Scobee as time expired. Jones-Drew's play allowed his team to use up all of the remaining clock.

  • JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Josh Scobee drilled the ball down the middle, gave his holder a high-five and then jumped into the arms of left tackle Khalif Barnes. It would have been more appropriate for Barnes to climb on Scobee's back. After all, the placekicker has carried the Jacksonville Jaguars to consecutive wins -- with plenty of help from quarterback David Garrard.

  • INDIANAPOLIS - Byron Leftwich is getting used to these frantic finishes. He just hopes they keeping turning out the right way. On Sunday, Leftwich led the Jaguars to scoring drives on their final three possessions, and rookie Josh Scobee joined the growing list of Jacksonville heroes by making a season-long 53-yard field goal with 38 seconds left to beat the Indianapolis Colts, 27-24.
