JACKSONVILLE, Fla. A dismal offensive performance, including another poor outing by quarterback Eli Manning, sentenced the Giants to a second straight loss Monday night. The Jaguars, getting a good showing from quarterback David Garrard, posted a 26-10 win that dropped the Giants into a tie with Dallas for the lead in the NFC East. The Jacksonville Jaguars beat history- and the Steelers - despite a memorable fourth-quarter collapse that nearly cost the visitors their season. Josh Scobee saved the game by kicking a 25-yard field goal with 37 seconds remaining and the Jaguars came back after squandering an 18-point lead in the fourth quarter to beat the Steelers, 31-29, on Saturday night in an AFC wild-card game Saturday night that was wild in every sense of the word.

Star of the game Not only did RB Maurice Jones-Drew turn in his third 100-yard rushing performance in the last four games, he also made the play of the game from a mental standpoint. He went down on purpose at the 1- yard-line on the second play after the two-minute warning to set up the eventual game-winning 21-yard field goal by Josh Scobee as time expired. Jones-Drew's play allowed his team to use up all of the remaining clock.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Josh Scobee drilled the ball down the middle, gave his holder a high-five and then jumped into the arms of left tackle Khalif Barnes. It would have been more appropriate for Barnes to climb on Scobee's back. After all, the placekicker has carried the Jacksonville Jaguars to consecutive wins -- with plenty of help from quarterback David Garrard.
