The Rev. Gregory R. Colucci, a dynamic priest known by parishioners for his charismatic sermon style, died Saturday. He was 78.
Before retiring in 1998, Father Colucci was parochial vicar of St. Joseph's R.C. Church in Paterson a mostly Latino parish. That assignment was a return to his roots: Father Colucci served as administrator of the inner-city parish in the 1970s before taking on other assignments in the diocese.
