EAST HAVEN -- Lifelong resident Joseph Lambert knew how to have fun, even if it meant getting a little dirty. "He and I used to go to this pond a mile from our house, in the woods," said his sister, Aimee Lambert of East Haven. "We'd go fishing and catch frogs. In fact, Joe taught me to fish there. One time, he got too close to the edge of the water and fell in. When he climbed out, he was covered in mud and I was laughing, and he had to walk all the way home that way. We also used to go white-water rafting on the Delaware River each year. He would take me places with him all the time.
Lambert died Sept. 20 at age 30.
