Robert Sabelhaus would listen to his wife rave about this darling broker with so much patience who would attend the investment club meeting of The Over the Lunch Counter Club.
So much was this investment broker loved by the well-heeled Greenspring Valley women - many of them with husbands who worked at Legg Mason or Alex. Brown - they presented him with a plaque with a bronze bull that proclaimed: To the bull of our herd.

Syracuse is a good place for us," said supervising casting director Damon Furberg. "We've had good luck and good turnouts.
There are a few key things to keep in mind. Most importantly, be yourself. The Real World may have a reputation for choosing people to fit a mold: the gay guy, the bitch, the meathead, the virgin. But Furberg said people should avoid coming in with a preconceived notion of what character they're looking for. "We've already had that person on the show," he said. "We don't need two."
The Real World has become something of an institution. Mary-Ellis Bunim and Jonathan Murray, the show's creators, were the first people to bring reality television to a younger generation. "The people trying out are the ones who grew up with it," said Furberg, "So there's an emotional a...

There was an uncomfortable moment of silence Monday when Kings coach Terry Murray announced Jonathan Bernier, rather than Jonathan Quick, would start in goal Tuesday against the New Jersey Devils at Staples Center.
Was he joking?

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - If reality-show producer Jonathan Murray is right, I'm more than a little bit worried about the future of America.
Murray, whose credits include everything from "Real World" to "Road Rules" to "The Simple Life," thinks he knows why "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" has been a success for the E! Network.

Jennifer Egan's "A Visit From the Goon Squad" was awarded the fiction prize from the National Book Critics Circle on Thursday evening, besting Jonathan Franzen's widely publicized novel "Freedom" and works by David Grossman, Hans Keilson and Paul Murray.
Published by Alfred A. Knopf, Egan's novel is an innovatively structured work about characters involved in the music industry. The title is taken from an Elvis Costello song that is also about time and how decisions echo across generations.

Dr. [Suporn] is a specialist in sex reassignment surgery who has developed his own one step proceedure which he wouldn't allow me to photograph. His patients come to Chonburi from all over the world, but primarily from the West: Australia, Austria & Germany, the US. Life revolves around the Mercure Hotel where we all stay, which is practically around the corner from the clinic, where you can get the greatest Thai ice tea, as well as lots of companionship if you want it. The hospital, where you stay for a week after your surgery, is about 15 minutes away in harrowing traffic. Patients go there by van. Those of us who want to visit at unusual times, take the "tuk tuk", a brightly painted vehichle with a motor but the back is open and rather wagon-like. You're flanked by motorcycles an...
