The diva is bringing quite the trio along for the ride, too. In it are two much in demand New York-based musicians: pianist David Hazeltine and drumming chameleon Allison Miller (she also provides percussion for Natalie Merchant's band). Now add to that bassist Jon Evans, whom you might know if you're a Tori Amos fan. You can also catch this hot act at Yoshi's on Valentine's Day proper. In Marin, Friday's the day to feel the love from this fine ensemble. As [Kitty Margolis] has stated: "There is nothing like the circle of energy between the band and the audience on a good night. When it's happening it's the best feeling in the world." And let's hope it's happening all night long during this two-set performance that we are fortunate to have right here at home.

Jon Evans, the patriarch of the Evans family in Upper St. Clair doesn't have much time for fun because of the demands of his law career, so he started a summer camp right in his own living room.
For one surprise week every summer, members of the Evans family enjoy a weeklong "Camp Ponoka," named after the street on which they live. Every night of that week, they do something fun together, like going miniature golfing or going to a drive-in movie. When they get home, the parents and children -- Alice, 10; Grant, 7; and Elena, 5 - - crash in sleeping bags in the living room.
