John Williams has returned to First National Bank & Trust Co. as a real estate loan officer. He will assist customers with home loans, construction loans and home equity loans at the Range Line and Kennesaw Ridge location. John Findley has joined the bank as a real estate loan representative. He will assist customers with home loans, construction loans and home equity loans at the downtown location.

Congressman Boswell declined to sign the Declaration of Peace, and seven activists who refused to leave his office until he endorsed it were arrested when the office closed at 5 p.m. Ed Bloomer, Elton Davis, David Drake, John Findley, Lynne Howard, Kathleen McQuillen and Wendy Vasquez were transported to a nearby law enforcement parking facility, where they were cited for simple misdemeanor criminal trespass, ordered to appear in Court on Oct. 10, and released. Harold "Hottie" Findley, 75, of 258 Mt. Airy Road, New Providence went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at his residence surrounded by his family and friends. He and his wife, Carol A. Ely Findley, celebrated 51 years of marriage in May.
Born on the family farm in Providence Township, he was the son of the late Andrew Joseph and Mabel Elizabeth Loump Findley. Mr. Findley was a lifelong Providence Township farmer. He was a member of Smithville Church of God, New Providence, where he served on church council and assisted with teaching Sunday school. He was a member of Gideon's International South Camp, and the Lancaster County Farm Bureau. "Hottie" was a great husband and father.
