BOSTON -- In 1959, Richard Sullivan campaigned for John F. Kennedy for president.
He would have done the same for JFK's younger brother, Bobby, if an assassin's bullet hadn't cut the candidate down in Los Angeles in 1968, dashing the senator's dream of becoming the second Kennedy in the White House. He might have done it for the last brother, Teddy, if the Massachusetts lawmaker hadn't chosen a lifetime in the Senate as his public calling.
