A construction project planned by John F. Murphy Homes Inc. got a $648,000 boost Monday from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. A statement issued by U.S. Rep. Mike Michaud's office said that the Auburn-based nonprofit organization is building another four- unit group home in the Lewiston-Auburn area. The federal funding from HUD will help create 10 to 12 new jobs through the utilization of local contractors, architects and products.
