JOE HIGGINS OF MESA COUNTY PARTNERS HELPS MENTORING REACH YOUTH ACROSS THE GLOBE GRAND JUNCTION, Colo., Feb. 10, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The "Chemi Uprosi Megabari" program in the country of Georgia is a collaborative effort between the Georgian Ministry of Justice and the United Nations Assistance to Georgia. Joe Higgins of Mesa County Partners and Tina McGuinness of Gunnison County Partners of Colorado just returned from a two week trip to Tbilisi, Georgia to train the first case managers for the program, as well as implement the best practices in mentoring used by the Partners Mentoring Association in Colorado.

Growing up she attended Lincoln School K-12, where she became a track star and received a scholarship from Tuskegee Institute. She was a devoted member of New Hope Baptist Church for 50-plus years, where she served as President of the Missionary Department, Director of Vacation Bible School, Superintendent of Children's Church, Director of Evangelistic Ministry, and Sunday School teacher. In addition to her parents, Georgetta was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Galbreath; siblings, Marguerite Higgins, Joe Garth, Pearline Rudolph, Thomas Gant Jr. and niece, Zreeta Hardin.
