  • I was amazed to read the story in The Sun relative to a police officer making an issue about his superior, in essence, telling him that he was not properly doing his duty and that the department had an arrest quota. Can quotas be a bad thing? Sure, when a city tries to force their police agency to write excessive citations to fill their coffers. But criminal arrests? Come on. What thinking citizens does not want his department to do the best job possible to reduce crime in their city by arresting bad guys?
