PORTSMOUTH - Betty Jo DeBolt Robertson, 84, of the 600 block of Windsor Road, went home to be with the Lord on July 4, 2010. A native of Charleston, W.Va., she was one of nine children of the late Charles Robert and Sadie Ray DeBolt; and was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 60 years, Dr. U.G. Robertson.
She was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church, Tidewater Association of Decorative Artist and the Red Hat Society. Betty touched many lives through her loving personality, tender heart, quick wit and warm sense of humor. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Jim and Jill Beeson made a donation in honor of the Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital nurses who cared for Jim's mother, Lucile Beeson.
Lucile, who was living in Florida at the time, was diagnosed with colon cancer at age 90. She opted to have surgery in Roanoke, where her son had just moved in 2008. After a successful surgery was performed by Dr. Keith Munson, Jim and his family were impressed by the care Lucile received in the recovery wing.

years ago (1993): Bloomington swept the singles and doubles titles and rolled to the team title of its own girls tennis sectional. The BHS champions were Tracy Edmunds in singles and Jo Young and Meg Robertson in doubles. Led by individual winner Clint Kaeb, Bloomington won the Big 12 Conference boys cross country title.

Brenda Vest Robertson, 61, of Dinwiddie County, died Monday, Dec. 18, 2006. Born in Petersburg, she was the daughter of Margaret Wolfrey Vest Watkins and the late Moten Fields Vest.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her a daughter, Sheryl Dean Conyers and husband, Monty, of Chesterfield; a son, Don Wayne Robertson and wife, Cathy, of Pearland, Texas; grandchildren, Laci Nicole Burroughs, Donna Travis Conyers, Debbie Sue Conyers, Ryan Daniel Conyers, Micah W. Robertson; great-granddaughter, Ivy Taylor White; sister, Betty Jo Reames and husband, Gary, of Dinwiddie; nieces, Sonya Reames Lewis and husband, John and their children Brittney, Douglas and Ashton; nephews, Edward Ray Martin, Craig Allen Martin; and cousins, Dixie Stell and Joan Beach.

The following is a partial list of criminal cases handled by judges in the most recent term of Westmoreland County criminal court. Some of the cases involve first-time offenders being enrolled in the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program. The ARD program does not require an admission of guilt, but participants are placed into the program for up to two years. If they satisfactorily complete the program, they may file a petition to have the case expunged. Unless otherwise noted, court costs are placed on the defendant.
