  • Three separate crimes in the past month against Jewish temples in Bergen County have prompted local synagogues to review security measures and community leaders to organize a meeting to talk about the incidents. Representatives from more than 70 synagogues in North Jersey and about a dozen Jewish day schools will be invited to attend the gathering next Thursday evening in Paramus. County and local law enforcement officials are expected to attend, said Joy Kurland, director of the Jewish Community Relations Council of the Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey.
