NORFOLK - , 70, passed away Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007. Born May 7, 1937, to Willie E. and Hazel R. Mullins in Bluefield, W. Va., he graduated from Beaver High School in Bluefield before serving in the U.S. Army. He married Betty J. Bumgardner Aug. 20, 1965. Jack was a self-employed contractor for more than 40 years in the Norfolk area. He was a member of the Virginia Beach Shag Club and the Norfolk Western Railroad Bowling League.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years; daughter, Rebecca S. (Jerry) Quick; two granddaughters, Courtney Shields and Grace H. Quick; mother, Hazel R. GRANDVIEW - , 85, passed away at home surrounded by family on February 15, 2011. Andrew was born at home in Ferron, UT on September 4, 1925 to Jess and Jessie (Blackburn) Nelson. He was the oldest son but the fifth child. He loved the outdoors and spent many a memorable moment with his Dad in the mountains around Ferron. Andrew is still famous for putting a cow in the school house and a horse in the theater. His name is carved on many trees on Nelson Mountain.

A growing number of Memphians, along with more Americans across the country, are complaining that debt collectors are using shady and possibly illegal practices to hound them for payments, a Scripps Howard investigation has found.
Complaints this year to federal authorities about unscrupulous debt collectors are on pace to be more than 6 percent higher than two years ago. According to a Scripps Howard analysis of Federal Trade Commission data, Americans levied nearly 228,000 objections about debt collectors from 2007 through this May, the last full month for which Scripps Howard received records.
