REGION COX TO DELIVER HIGH-DEF PROGRAMMING ON PENINSULA Cox Communications Inc. has reached an agreement with the NBC broadcast affiliate in Richmond to deliver that station's high-definition programming to viewers in Williamsburg and James City and York counties, starting Thursday . Cox's arrangement with WWBT Inc., NBC 12 in Richmond, means the 45,000 or so Cox cable subscribers in those Peninsula communities have the option to watch NBC shows broadcast in high definition. Cox customers elsewhere in Hampton Roads lack that option because Cox is still negotiating for the rights to carry HD programming with Lin Television Corp., owner of the local NBC and Fox affiliate stations.
