JEFFERSON TWP., Montgomery County -- Jefferson Twp. Local School District officials said they take exception to several state performance audit recommendations that state officials said will save taxpayers more than $2.4 million annually.
State Auditor Mary Taylor on Tuesday, June 10, released the district's audit, the second since 2003 when the Ohio Department of Education placed the district in fiscal watch because of an anticipated general fund deficit of $347,335.
