Jane Garrett, Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett's director of community outreach, was recently presented with the Tennessee Society for Healthcare Consumer Advocacy Jean Gauld-Jaeger Award for Patient Advocacy.
The award honors a patient advocate who promotes patient rights, respect for all patients and increased awareness of the patient advocacy field within the community.

NORWAY - , 95, died in the early morning hours of Sunday, Feb. 15, at Stephens Memorial Hospital, with her family by her side.
She was born East Bethel, on Feb. 27, 1913, to Samuel Dana and Evelyn Jane (Bartlett) Harrington. She was educated in Bethel Schools.

Bartlett was well-represented at this year's Lifeblood annual Awards Luncheon on Feb. 4 at the Hilton in East Memphis.
Bartlett Woods Church of Christ took home the award for Lifeblood's 2010 Faith-Based Group of the Year, and Jane Garrett, director of community outreach at Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett, won Lifeblood's 2010 Volunteer of the Year.

NORFOLK - Judy Howlett, daughter of the late Harold Lester and Eleanor Maloney Bartlett formerly of Massachusetts, passed away May 20, 2008. She left this life with a smile on her face.
Judy was predeceased by her loving husband of 42 years, Bobby "Sweetie" Howlett. She is also survived and will be greatly missed by her brother, Harold Bartlett and wife Jane of Sedley, Va.; her six loving children: son, Bobby L. Howlett Jr., Mimi Link, Penny Newbold, Timmy Howlett, Jeff Howlett and Katie Howlett; their spouses, Meagan, Joe, Vince and Lauren; as well as her 14 grandchildren, Nicki, Katlyn, Ashley, Megan, Joey, Heather, Emily, Anna, Mark, Lizzie, Bobby, Nicholas, Mary Bradley and Devin Marie. Often times, as we have seen in previous In the Classroom columns, some families will have several generations of teachers within their family. Today, we are going to meet a family that has two members teaching at the same school.
The school is Arlington Elementary and the relatives are sisters- in-law Kathy Petrowski and Stacie Pleasant, daughter and daughter- in-law of W.C. "Bubba" and Jane Pleasant of Bartlett.
