GALION -- James L. Welch, 73, of Galion, died Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at home unexpectedly. Born Aug. 31, 1934, in East Liverpool, he was the son of the late and Hazel (Martin) Welch.
James Perry (J.P.) Welch Jr., 50, of Salem, Va., passed away suddenly on November 27, 2010, while on vacation. He had been disabled from VDOT of Salem since 1992. He was born to Catherine and James P. Welch Sr. on May 9, 1960. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Sharon Welch; stepson, Clifford M. Horn and wife, Dedra; and stepgrandchildren, Chase and Christian Tiedemann, all of Salem. J.P. will be welcomed in heaven by Sharon's mother, Lillian Brown; and J.P.s sister, Ruthie Welch. J.P. leaves behind three sisters, Judy Galanes, Kathy Jamison, and Wanda Amos; and many loving family members and friends.
