Christopher James Christie defiantly promised change will come, declaring New Jersey's problems no greater than its best resources: trade, transportation and educated people who want "a place to call home with pride and confidence in the possibilities ahead.

A Charleston resident wants to know what happened to nearly $66,000 he invested with a Bridgeport-based business.
Comvest Ltd. recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. One of the principals is Bridgeport Mayor James Christie, who is also secretary of the West Virginia Municipal League. The other is David Cutlip, president of the Harrison County Development Authority.

Another assistant has left the Monroe County District Attorney's Office.
District Attorney Sandra Doorley confirmed Wednesday that James Christie has resigned. She declined to comment further, saying it is a personnel matter and that she cannot comment on personnel matters.

FARMINGTON -- Christie James said she hasn't decided whether to appeal the Planning Board's decision to approve an application for a six-unit condominium next to her property.
It's a decision that has to be made," she said after Wednesday night's board meeting. She has 30 days to decide whether to go to the Board of Appeals.
