NORFOLK - James Norwood Barker Jr., 86, of the 5300 block of Orion Ave., went to be with the Lord Sunday, Dec. 13, 2009.
Born in Norfolk, to the late Lottie M. Hobbs and James N. Barker Sr., James had worked for the Naval Air Rework Facility for 36 years as a management analyst. He was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Norfolk, American Legion Post 204, and a lifetime member of Elks Lodge 38. He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II.
