Los Angeles Daily News executive editor Carolina Garcia expanded her duties Friday when she was named to the same posts at the Press- Telegram and its sister paper, the Torrance-based Daily Breeze. Jack Klunder, who similarly was appointed as publisher of the three MediaNews publications, associated weeklies and their websites last month, announced that Garcia would assume the top newsroom job on Monday.

We're just wary about how Jay is represented after the fact, even if (the movie) is by people who sort of knew him," said longtime friend, Memphis punk-rock fellow traveler and former Oblivians member Eric Friedl, who appears in the film in footage shot before Reatard's death.
