Among the reasons cited for inaccurate news reports are deadline pressure, challenges in obtaining and verifying factual information and difficulty in determining what facts mean or what is a fact.2 Former Chicago Tribune editor Jack Fuller contends that error is inevitable because eliminating all possibility of error would bog down the production process.3 If error is an inevitable result of quality journalism, as some argue, then the challenge for journalists is managing and acknowledging error.4 The public notices inaccuracies in news stories. [...] this study provides evidence that a more liberal policy of publishing corrections can enhance the dialogue between readers and newspapers.

Jack Fuller remembers a time, not so long ago, when off-roaders zoomed past his Joshua Tree home on motorcycles and quads on an almost-daily basis, rattling his nerves and disrupting his quality of life.
This was their Disneyland ride. About every day, you'd have these guys going up and down the roads adjacent to my house," said Fuller, 73, who has lived in Joshua Tree for more than 10 years. "You could put up fences, signs or anything else, but if they wanted to go into an area bad enough, down would come everything.

'It's not a race, It's an autocross," Jack Fuller, owner of Fuller's Insurance and proud Porsche driver, said over the sound of revving engines at the Ecurie Vitesse autocross at Florida Keys Community College Sunday. "You need to strike the word race from your memory when it comes to this sport.
I'm a little nervous," Diana Reagan said behind the wheel of a 2002 Mercedes SLK230. "This is my first time so wish me luck."
"I'll have to pick it up on this run," Scott McCollum, Sunday's event master said, standing beside his 2005 Mazda Miata Turbo. "People walk away from an autocross much better drivers. They know how to manage their car in split second decisions and are generally safer behind the wheel."

LUBEC - Rescue personnel recovered the body of one fisherman and continued searching through the night for another in Cobscook Bay near Eastport Wednesday after reports that a 34-foot vessel from Lubec had gone down.
The U.S. Coast Guard did not immediately release the identities of the victims or the name of the vessel, but Deputy Jack Fuller of the Washington County Sheriff's office said the recovered body was that of Loren Lank, age unknown, who had been a sternman on the missing boat.

WEST HAVEN - At the tail end of Jack Siedlecki's run as Yale's football coach and in the early stages of Tom Williams' tenure, it seemed inevitable that any mention of the Bulldogs' offensive line would be in the form of a question.
