Christopher J. Neary, the corporate executive chef at J. Kings Food Service Professionals Inc. in Holtsville, was recently invited to the White House to kick off Michelle Obama's "Chefs Move to Schools" campaign. As president of the American Culinary Federation's Long Island Chapter, Neary was one of about 1,000 chefs from around the U.S. chosen to be an ambassador for the program and to participate in the ceremony. The campaign is part of a larger program entitled "Let's Move," whose goal is to solve the epidemic of childhood obesity within a generation by helping kids become more physically active and eat healthier foods.
