The ITT Corp. has been awarded two U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Middle Eastern contracts valued at $800 million. The Corporation, through its ITT Systems office based in Colorado Springs, will provide facilities operations, maintenance and training services for the Afghanistan National Security Forces.
A Colorado-Springs based defense contractor has received a $230 million contract for military operations in Southwest Asia. ITT Systems will supply maintenance operations support for U.S. government facilities, vehicles and equipment.

ITT Exelis Information Systems is the U.S. Small Business Administration's pick for best prime contractor. The company's main headquarters are in Herndon, Va., and its mission systems division is headquartered in Colorado Springs.
ITT Mission Systems, located in Colorado Springs, provides technological services to the military in Iraq and Afghanistan, so it seems fitting that a retired Army general who served in Iraq lead the company's efforts in the Springs. Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Kenneth Hunzeker worked in both infantry and armored positions in the Army, and also has experience in program management, strategy development and finance.
