Composer Irving Berlin wrote somewhere in the neighborhood of 1,500 songs during his career. His music provided the soundtrack to America for much of first half of the 20th century. Berlin's music included pop hits, Broadway musicals and film scores.

MERRY Christmas, readers. As George Wyle wrote in his song, Its The Most Wonderful Time of the Year. Garrison Keillor of National Public Radio has a problem with that. Wyle, who died in 2003, was Jewish. In a column in the Baltimore Sun, Keillor complained and complained and complained about Christmas.
