WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. futures regulator said on Tuesday [April 5] it will issue a proposal on margin requirements for uncleared swaps for swap dealers and major swap participants at its 13th rule-making meeting on April 12.
The margin rule is one of two major proposals the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission has yet to introduce. CFTC Chairman Gary Gensler said last week the agency could introduce a definition for the types of swaps that will be required to clear and trade later this month.

MADISON - Assembly Republicans plan to introduce a bill next week designed to jump-start a company's plan to dig an iron mine in far northern Wisconsin, the chamber's top leader said Wednesday.
Speaker Jeff Fitzgerald, R-Horicon, said the GOP will release the language during a news conference next week, most likely on Thursday. Fitzgerald declined to elaborate on the bill's contents, saying he would wait until the news conference.
