DAYTON -- For Dennis Wolters, president and chief executive of Day International Inc., scholarships are a way of sharpening interest in printing and graphic design. And a way to give back, Wolters said. The company, which makes products for printers and packaging companies, has long contributed to scholarships sponsored by other organizations, such as Printing Industries of America, Wolters said. The downtown Dayton-based, privately held firm started its own scholarship in 2002 after the death of an associate, Wolters said.
