R. 1525, the Internet Spyware Prevention Act of 2007, or "I-Spy Act," was approved by the Judiciary Committee. Sponsored by Subcommittee on Immigration, Citizenship, Refugees, Border security and International Law Chairwoman Zoe Lofgren, D-Calif., the bill targets individuals who use covert software applications, programs or computer code to obtain or transmit personal information with the intent to commit a crime.
