Joint Wharton MBA/MA in International Studies degree program specializes in foreign language training and regional economic focus PHILADELPHIA, March 7, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Joseph H. Lauder Institute of Management and International Studies, now in its 27th year, continues to see interest grow from MBA students hoping to carve out a specialty niche in the global marketplace. The Lauder program, which combines the prestigious Wharton MBA with a University of Pennsylvania Master's degree in International Studies, offers customized language and cultural programs in Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish. Also just announced in 2010 was a new language track for Hindi, another language of growing significance in the global economy.
The International Institute of St. Louis received a $43,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Justice for a public education program about federal protections against immigration-related job discrimination. The local grant was one 13 awarded by the Office of Special Counsel for Immigration-Related Unfair Employment Practices of the department's Civil Rights Division. The Justice Department announced the awards last week. The department awarded roughly $720,000 in grants.
