Joint Wharton MBA/MA in International Studies degree program specializes in foreign language training and regional economic focus
PHILADELPHIA, March 7, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Joseph H. Lauder Institute of Management and International Studies, now in its 27th year, continues to see interest grow from MBA students hoping to carve out a specialty niche in the global marketplace. The Lauder program, which combines the prestigious Wharton MBA with a University of Pennsylvania Master's degree in International Studies, offers customized language and cultural programs in Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish. Also just announced in 2010 was a new language track for Hindi, another language of growing significance in the global economy.

The International Institute of St. Louis received a $43,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Justice for a public education program about federal protections against immigration-related job discrimination.
The local grant was one 13 awarded by the Office of Special Counsel for Immigration-Related Unfair Employment Practices of the department's Civil Rights Division. The Justice Department announced the awards last week. The department awarded roughly $720,000 in grants.

The International Tax Institute's Web site, www.itinet.org, provides a variety of unique resources for its subscribers, as well as the general public. The organization focuses on performing research, offering continuing education, and publishing books, journals, and newsletters on international tax, tax treaties, and transfer pricing. The Web site offers useful resources for CPAs. The Web site offers three excellent resources without charge: the Transfer Pricing News Roundup Archives (TPNR), an alphabetical listing of links to government tax authorities, and links to external resources for US, Canadian, UK, Australian, and Latin American tax treaties. A free online tutorial covers the development of bilateral tax treaties.
