The world increasingly has a global economy. The demand for public relations practitioners who understand and can communicate effectively in this global economy is also rapidly increasing. It explores the perceptions of utility and importance of various components of education and training among these educators and practitioners through in-depth interviews. Unfortunately, due to low faculty numbers, accreditation policies, and other identified constraints, international...

ARLINGTON, Va., Aug.10 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Several important concepts in U.S. international income taxation are based on the "source" of items of gross income. A new August 10 webinar from BNA Tax & Accounting, Principles and Importance of Source of Income Rules for International Tax Planning, shows practitioners how to apply the Internal Revenue Code source of income rules to a wide variety of classes of payments in cross-border transactions; determine whether payments made by U.S. persons to nonresident alien individuals and foreign corporations are subject to U.S. withholding tax under the Code; and evaluate the likelihood of whether payments received by U.S. taxpayers in cross-border transactions will support foreign tax credits.

The number of international students pursuing secondary education at United States (U.S.) universities has been increasing over the past 25 years, and is expected to continue into the foreseeable future. This paper builds on existing research by re-examining some of those factors combined with additional factors and by examining the role of accreditation by The Association...

This paper uses a longitudinal database to examine how family businesses compare with their non-family counterparts in one form of entrepreneurial activity, internationalization. It then evaluates some qualitative data to explore what elements of Lumpkin and Dess' (1996) entrepreneurial orientation - autonomy, innovativeness, risk taking, proactiveness, and competitive aggressiveness - may have been evident when family businesses internationalized. Results indicate that family firms are less likely to be internationally active compared with non-family firms. While the importance of innovativeness for international expansion is highlighted, findings suggest that unless family business managers have the freedom to act autonomously, the ability to benefit internationally from such innovati...
