Carlos Araujo, a longtime University of Colorado at Colorado Springs engineering professor, has been honored by a major international engineering group for his work developing semiconductors used in cell phones, "smart" cards and other electronic devices.
The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers gave Araujo its Daniel E. Nobel Award on Dec. 12 at its Electron Devices Meeting in San Francisco. Araujo, an electrical and computer engineering professor, has served on the UCCS faculty for 22 years.
