Recently, my twirling team, the West Virginia Mountainettes, competed in our first Twirling Unlimited International Competition in Canton, Ohio. I was amazed by the experience and all the talent I saw.
Since twirling isn't very popular in West Virginia, I was shocked to see so many twirlers present. There were more than 200 girls from states including Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana and North Carolina. One even came from California!
