One-hundred five communicators are recipients of the 1992 Gold Quill award of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). From the over 2,000 entries from 20 countries, 28 are to receive Awards of Excellence while 81 will receive Awards of Merit. The year 1992 marks the first time that more than two awards will be given to a single communicator. Joe Williams of Joe Williams Communications Inc and Mike Vogl of Poudre Valley Hospital, CO, are the two communicators who are lucky recipients of four and three awards respectively. Favorite themes among the entries for 1992 were the work environment as a source of fun and the issue of employee literacy. A list of all the 105 winners and their entries is provided.
IABC Tulsa presents communications awards Sandra Lewis, executive director of the Tulsa Day Center for the Homeless, was named 2010 Communicator of the Year on Thursday by the Tulsa chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators.
