Corporate decision networks of top firms in Nebraska are compared with those of the US as a whole to evaluate the validity of structural modeling and analytical procedures in corporate analysis. Research results show that Nebraskan corporations showed a greater tendency to be centralized than their national counterparts. This result is surprising and contrary to popular notion. Results also indicated that the more centralized a network, the less accessible it becomes.
