The novel Intelligent Vehicle/Highway Systems (IVHS) aims to reduce traffic congestion on roads by computerizing cars, their routes and the roads themselves. IVHS envision a decrease in the transport problems and environmental pollution through reduced fuel consumption and less accidents.
