After a weeks-long legal battle, Brooke and Martinsburg high schools will head to the rescheduled Class AAA state championship football game this weekend. The championship game will be 7 p.m. Saturday in Wheeling. The state Supreme Court on Tuesday upheld the West Virginia Secondary School Activities Commissions suspension of four South Charleston High football players. The SSAC suspended nine players after an end-of-game brawl at the Nov. 19 Hurricane/South Charleston quarterfinal game: four from Hurricane and five from South Charleston. • Occupy St. Louis Denied Preliminary Injunction

After a five-hour hearing, a federal judge said members of Occupy St. Louis did not prove the city of St. Louis selectively enforced its curfew law in an attempt to shut down the protest. S. District Judge Carol E. Jackson, of the St. Louis-based federal court, heard testimony from six plaintiff witnesses before denying the plaintiffs' motion for a preliminary injunction. A ruling for the plaintiffs would have allowed the protesters to "occupy" Kiener Plaza all day and all night until the injunction was made permanent or until a trial were held.

• Judge Grants Rialto Preliminary Gang Injunction

A Superior Court judge granted a request Thursday from prosecutors for a preliminary injunction against Rialto street gang Hustla Squad Clicc. Members of the gang will be barred from several public nuisance activities in a four-square-mile safety zone, according to a press release from the San Bernardino County District Attorney's Office. Authorities believe the injunction will bring relief to residents and businesses in the surrounding area.

Fruit purveyor Del Monte has sued the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to stop the agency's halt on importing cantaloupe that the company says the government incorrectly believes is the source of a Salmonella outbreak. Del Monte Fresh Produce N.A. Inc. filed its suit in U.S. District Court in Greenbelt on Monday, seeking a declaratory judgment finding the FDA's actions unlawful and a permanent injunction prohibiting the agency from enforcing its importation restrictions.

• Icg Shareholders Hope Injunction Will Delay Sale

Four West Virginia stockholders concerned about the proposed sale of the International Coal Group filed a formal motion for a preliminary injunction Friday afternoon, seeking to delay the sale. The International Coal Group, based in Scott Depot, announced on May 2 that it had reached an agreement to be bought out by Arch Coal, based in St. Louis, Mo., for $3.4 billion.

NASHVILLE - Lambuth University in Jackson won a preliminary injunction in federal court this week, delaying loss of its accreditation while it struggles to remain afloat. The injunction issued Thursday in U.S. District Court in Atlanta returns the 168-year-old college to accreditation probation status with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools . Lambuth filed for the injunction Thursday immediately after SACS rejected the school's appeal to reverse its decision Dec. 6 to remove the school's accreditation and membership.

• Arizona Lawmakers React to Injunction On Abortion Laws

A Maricopa County Superior Court judge has granted a preliminary injunction against new state laws that place restrictions on abortion. Although the decision has been embraced by state Democrats, the Republican co-sponsor of both bills said it's another case of courts infringing on the territory of the Legislature. Sen.
