Library staff members helped to create brief records for each item, wrote the loan rules, composed the overdue messages text, and set fees and fines based on ITech's policies. Weekend library staff members didn't have access to the locked ITech cabinets to secure returned equip- ment; they weren't trained in procedures, and they didn't know what to look for to ensure that all pieces of equipment were returned intact or that batteries and power packs were ade- quately charged. Stu- dents and faculty members are greatty appreciative of the resources offered: A re- cent Merged Information Services Organizations survey (MISO) revealed a high degree of user satisfaction with library and instructional technology services.

This article focuses on the use of quality function deployment (QFD) to define the unspoken customer requirements in user interface design. The relationships between customer requirements such as learnability, speed of use, and so on, and the realization mechanisms or performance measures such as consistency, error management, and others, are shown in the house of quality. The use of QFD has resulted in a better focus on the key issues in user interface design and translating these into actions and designs, reducing user interface design errors and increasing customer satisfaction.

Today's rapidly changing, highly competitive business environment demands greater IT flexibility, a wider variety of computing services, and more technologically advanced users. This study explores the impact of firms' IS strategy on IS function responsiveness to organizational computing demands, end-user training effectiveness, and the development of end-user computing skill. These, in turn, should lead to higher levels of IS and firm performance. Data for this study were collected from 265 senior manufacturing managers. Structural equation modeling was used to test the hypotheses of interest.

We review, classify, consolidate, and synthesize the contributions to the expanding field of e-business that have been published in Production and Operations Management. We classify e-business research in the following four categories: (1) e-auctions, (2) radio frequency identification, (3) e-business system design, and (4) competition, conflict, collaboration, and coordination (C^sup 4^ in e-business). We identify important research themes, research methodologies, and research techniques within each of these categories. We also provide directions for future research and discuss the managerial implications of the e-business research reported in our paper.

The goal of this paper is to increase the awareness of the exogenous factors that influence customers' attitude in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) towards online banking in the light of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The study investigates the effect of three exogenous factors namely computer self-efficacy, security issues, and website features on the TAM. The proposed modified TAM model has been tested with a survey sample of 461 which has been distributed among different customers in the UAE. The data has been analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to evaluate the strength of the hypothesized relationships. The results strongly support the extended TAM model in predicating customers' attitude towards online banking. It also demonstrates the significant effect of comp...
