When Tony Nichols went to work at Appalachian Log Structures Inc. in Ripley on Wednesday and found that the company was entering its second day without FiberNet phone service, he began searching for alternative providers.
I would say this will be a dark day in FiberNet's history," said Nichols, who is Appalachian's information systems manager. Appalachian was among the 15,000 to 20,000 customers affected by the outage Tuesday and Wednesday.
