The motto of the Hong Kong Correctional Services Department (CSD) is to "Support Rehabilitative Offenders for a More Inclusive Society". The Hong Kong CSD has developed a correctional system which has placed increasing emphasis on correction and rehabilitation of offenders over the years. This paper describes the efforts of the Hong Kong CSD in the rehabilitation of young offenders through its Rehabilitation Division that comprises five units: (1) Rehabilitation Units (Assessment and Program), (2) Education Unit, (3) Vocational Training Unit, (4) Psychological Services Section, and (5) Rehabilitation Unit (Supervision). The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Investor Education Foundation is training military spouses to provide financial counseling and education within the military community. Recipients of the Military Spouse Fellowship must commit to complete the courses of study and work or volunteer in the financial counseling field for up to two years. Upon completion of the program, spouses will receive the "accredited financial counselor" designation from the Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education.
It's no secret: Profit margins are tight and CEOs are discovering ways to get greater productivity from fewer employees. Promoting project managers to positions of authority without providing them with the necessary training, however, is one surreptitious strategy that industry experts don't advise. According to a recent survey conducted by ZweigWhite, an Arkansas- based management service firm, only 21 percent of project managers reported receiving job-specific training before being promoted to their new positions. More surprising, less than a third of firms reported they always provide project management training to new project managers.
