AEP Industries Inc., which manufactures plastic packaging products for the food/beverage, industrial and agricultural markets, said Friday it closed on its $99.2 million purchase of the plastic films portion of Atlantis Plastics Inc. The all-cash deal includes $56.8 million of working capital, subject to a possible post-closing plus or minus adjustment of up to $2.5 million. South Hackensack-based AEP also is getting plants in Oklahoma, Kentucky, California, Minnesota and Georgia.

Advanced Environmental Recycling Technologies Inc. of Springdale, Ark., plans to build a plastics recycling plant in Watts in far eastern Oklahoma. The new facility, funded and developed with support from the Cherokee Nation and the state of Oklahoma, will reclaim post- consumer and post-industrial plastic materials for use in the company's building products.
