  • DAYTON -- The companies that have taken over rent payments for an air freight building at Dayton International Airport have put into escrow two years worth of the rent, giving Dayton a bit of added security, a city official said Thursday. Industrial Realty Group of Downey, Calif., with Cleveland-based partner Industrial Commerce Ltd., put $1.2 million into escrow to cover two years of payments on the ground lease for the freight terminal formerly owned by United Parcel Service, and took over all maintenance costs from UPS, said Terrence G. Slaybaugh, the city's director of aviation. That assures the city it will continue receiving the $640,000-a-year lease payments while the companies show the terminal to prospective tenants, Slaybaugh said.

  • Pink is the new green thats the mantra of the insulation industry. The latest way to keep your toes toasty this winter and to save big on energy bills is to blow in the pink stuff in your attic. Owens Corning preferred contractor Mountain State Renovations LLC takes the pink theme to the max. Everyone on a recent job site wore pink polo shirts or T-shirts as they prepped the attic, loaded the blower and eventually shot the cotton-candy-like stuff through a long pink tube and into a St. Albans attic. The whole process takes less than four hours for a 1,000-square-foot attic. Theres no mess the only dirt was from disturbing the dust in the attic, not from the insulating process. If you are worried about losing that storage space, the money you save on heating bills will more than pay fo...
