RIVERSIDE -- A recent report on compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act suggests that Mad River Local Schools is among the top districts in Montgomery County at educating students with disabilities. The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, or IDEA, was reauthorized in 2004 to require that school districts provide a free and appropriate public education to children with disabilities, that each child gets an individual education program, and that children with disabilities be educated with children who are not disabled.
