Nixon Peabody LLP was one of 338 law firms and businesses nationwide to receive a 100 percent rating from the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) in its annual Corporate Equality Index. The HRC is the nation's largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) civil rights organization. The HRC's Corporate Equality Index measures companies on their comprehensive workplace polices for LGBT employees. In order to receive a perfect rating from the HRC, employers must provide: Diversity training; a nondiscrimination policy (that includes sexual orientation); inclusive benefits to all firm employees with same-sex partners; and a diversity committee, including an LGBT affinity group.
