Mary Wilkening was at her Litchfield Park home on the afternoon of Sept. 18, when she heard the news that Darin Mitchell, her alleged neighbor, would be unopposed on the November ballot to be her next representative in the state House. The news came as a shock and disappointment. She and two other neighbors on her block had recently testified in Maricopa County Superior Court that Mitchell, a candidate for the Arizona House of Representatives in Legislative District 13, had never actually lived in the district.
The 1st step: Ratification of a Constitutional amendment to end the influence of special interest money in political campaigns. A constitutional amendment is necessary to end the corruption of corporate personhood and the doctrine of money as speech. The"Equal Political Speech" amendment will also give exclusive rights to voters, natural persons, to support political campaigns with contributions and expenditures. Legal entities that are not eligible to vote will have no rights to influence elections or to support political campaigns of any kind. In the March 6 letter the congressmen sent to fellow representatives inviting them to join the caucus, they underscored the critical role the profession of veterinary medicine plays in a healthy society and stated that the caucus aims to "increase awareness of the importance of veterinary medicine on research, public health, animal health and welfare, food safety and our overall economy.
